Stressed?

It's the beginning of a new month. Spring is in the air. And yet. The world is different. We are in the midst of a pandemic that has us staying at least 6 feet apart from one another. Social distancing is what is needed to stop this virus from spreading. But it is isolating and stressful.

April is Stress Awareness Month. Fitting, I think. Like me, I know that you are experiencing a higher level of stress than normal. Whether it's worrying about job security and how you will pay the mortgage, or worrying about your family's health, anxiety is heightened. Maybe you are like me, and while you love being with your family, only being with each other day in and day out is starting to take its toll.

We are experiencing the unknown. But, the good news is that we are all experiencing it together. We might be physically isolated from others, but we are finding ways to stay connected. We are forced to slow down. And, it can be very uncomfortable and weird. But if we allow ourselves to settle into stillness, we open ourselves up to new ideas, new connections, new focus.

You might be going stir crazy stuck at home. And, the fact that we are asked to stay home through the month of April can cause the stress levels to rise. Maybe you feel trapped. Stuck. I encourage you to look around your house. Is there anything you would like to change? To organize? Maybe you don't know where to start. Or you just don't have the energy or concentration. Have you tried once only to give up half way through? Are you afraid to start because you aren't sure what you will find? I can help you. I can be your cheerleader and guide you through the process of organizing. I can help you start. That is the hardest part. Just starting. But we can get you started! Schedule a 1-hour virtual organizing session with me, and I will come into your home (virtually) and help you achieve some order out of chaos. Remember, what gets scheduled gets managed. I am here to help you get unstuck.

Remember to extend yourself grace. These are challenging times for all of us. Uncharted territory. But we can rise to the summit and see the breathtaking view together (at least six feet apart).
